About Greyline

Greyline Outdoor originally formed in 1988 as S&S Enterprises, a small, local sign shop under owner/operator(s) Everett Scritchfield, Jr. and Linda Scritchfield. 1993 marked the first purchase of billboard by the company and set the path for years to come. In 1996, S&S Enterprises began to focus more on sign fabrication and maintenance, specifically within the outdoor advertising realm. This growth prompted the change from S&S Enterprises to Greyline Signs, Inc. For over 20 years, Greyline signs, Inc. provided a solution for all aspects of outdoor advertising – from billboard design, permitting and fabrication, to installation, maintenance, and safety upgrades/inspections.

Beginning in 2007

Greyline Signs began the transition to Greyline Outdoor, stepping back from fabricating, installing and maintaining displays for major national brands. Greyline Outdoor set out with the mission to provide a unique approach for both property owners and advertisers within the out-of-home advertising market. Kyle Scritchfield, the son of Everett and Linda, was brought into the company to oversee all aspects of sales and real estate development, focusing on this growth while working with the inventory in place.

Where We Are Now

Greyline Outdoor is now the 2nd largest outdoor advertising company in the greater WNY region, and a member of both Geopath (formerly TAB) and The Outdoor Advertising Association of America.

The unique skillset and years of experience in the advertising field provide Greyline Outdoor with unparalleled abilities, with which we strive to not only meet, but exceed the needs and expectations of clients and landowners in the areas that the major out-of-home brands do not. Greyline Outdoor understands that there is no “one size fits all” approach to outdoor advertising. Whether it be unique displays – from corner wraps, colored lights, and even the creation and installation of complete 3-dimensional displays – or landowners who simply prefer more than just a sign on their property, there is little that Greyline Outdoor has not provided. Before any work begins, our first priority understanding and ensuring all of the needs and desires of a client and/or landowner are met, in order to assure we can deliver the best possible product

Greyline Outdoor now provides more than just standard billboards – our inventory includes the largest, highest-rated, and one-of-a-kind displays in the advertising market.

Currently, Greyline Outdoor owns the only spectacular display in Buffalo, NY, which was permitted, designed, and installed in-house. This spectacular display brought in a new marketing tool to WNY where Greyline Outdoor introduced, developed and sold the display to the major and national market. To date this display has consistently had waitlist of at least six months to reserve any space on the unit.

Our clients past and present include major national brands such as Geico, Audi, Budweiser, etc., Along with major marketing agencies in NY, IL & CA.
